Most restaurant bar coolers are constructed of CFC -free, have foamed-in-place polyurethane, and high-density cell insulation. Other things you want to look for are compressors size and that they have forced-air refrigeration system.
The interiors must be rust-resistant galvanized steel. If you have a darker space make sure that the restaurant bar cooler you chose has florescent interior lighting, or you have a plan for lighting where you are going to place the cooler. Also check out the shelving that comes with the unit to assure that they are coated wire racks
Some units come with built in glass cooling cold plates, but unless you have a real need for this stay with the extra space for beverages. Positive seal doors are nice and magnetic seals assure a good seal, but for the price addition a normal gasket system will be more than adequate. Make sure that there is adequate ventilation for your unit and that the place you are putting your unit does not constrict airflow with the vent placement on the unit you are looking at. Airflow is key when looking at the longevity of your compressor life. Manufactures have been doing a great job making units that work effectively in even the tightest of spaces, but doing your part is always recommended.
